“City Tire Pros” Players of the Week – Week Two
ZANESVILLE, OH
That’s right. It’s time for our players of the week, starting with our game over on “Z92”, where Sheridan defeated Watkins and quarterback Logan Hupp did a little bit of everything for the Generals. He passed for a touchdown, returned a punt for a touchdown, and the junior also had an interception on defense in the Generals’ victory.
And then over on “Highway 103”, New Lexington’s Isaiah Stephens had himself a wail of a ball game. The Panthers’ quarterback completed 20 of his 23 passes for 310 yards, along with four passing touchdowns and one more on the ground, as New Lex ran over Philo, to improve to 2-0 on the young season.
Zanesville’s David Dicks is among our players of the week as well, as the Blue Devils battled St. Clairsville on AM 1240 this past week, and the senior had himself a good game defensively with one pass broken up, a forced fumble, four tackles and an interception in the game.
Finally, from our “Community Bank” game of the week, senior running back Carter Winland led West Muskingum to an overtime win over Licking Valley, as the Tornadoes improved to 2-0 on the season.
