Cleaning Cars in Warm Weather
The sunshine and warmer weather have people flocking to local car washes.
The owner of Soft Cloth Car Wash, off Maple Avenue in Zanesville, says his employees serviced about 15 hundred cars over the past five days.
"There’s been pretty much a line all weekend, right through Sunday and today. It’s a good day. People are out. People are feeling better. In addition to getting they’re car cleaned, I think people feel better about driver a cleaner car too, " says owner John Thomas.
Thomas says it’s important to get that wash in soon after the winter snow melts because the salt can corrode your car.
"The cars are so dirty. You get dirty by brushing up against them, but for the salt, it’s really important to get the salt off not just the top of the car-where it can affect and dull your paint-but also underneath and around the wheel well, " says Thomas.
If you don’t feel like spending the money, Thomas says you can clean it the old-fashioned way with a bucket of water and a sponge.
