ZANESVILLE, OHIO- Families across the community gathered to the Salvation Army to pick out a free coat to help keep their kids warm for the upcoming winter season.

Office Manager, Mindy McCloy said that this event really warms your heart to see families come in and get a warm coat for their children.

“It’s even more fun when you get to see that child get their coat, watch them put it on, it’s a really great feeling, but it also meets a really big need,” said McCloy.

If you missed your chance to grab a coat on Thursday, “Coats for Kids” will be opening up again on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Salvation Army.
