Coburn United Methodist Church Hosting “Go for the Gold”

ZANESVILLE, OH – It’s time to lace up your sneakers and grab your game face!
On Saturday, August 3rd, from 1 to 4 PM, Coburn United Methodist Church is hosting “Go for the Gold”, an Olympic themed extravaganza for all kids and teens from kindergarten through high school. Participants can prepare for a day of fun sports challenges using pool noodles, balloons, and even a boat.
“It’s kind of our version of the Olympics. As the Olympics are going on, we’re going to invite the public in and have some games. They’re all silly games like water balloon archery and canoe tugs. Just come have a good time, enjoy some fellowship with one another, and win some prizes. We’re looking forward to it.” Mark Raaker, Pastor of Coburn United Methodist Church said.
Spectators can join in the fun by enjoying fresh popcorn, cookies, and lemonade while cheering on the young athletes. This is an event where laughter and teamwork are the real gold medals.
“I’m looking forward to watching all the kids have a good time and seeing how good they are at the water balloon archery.” Pastor Raaker said.
To participate in “Go for the Gold”, you can preregister now by visiting the Coburn United Methodist Church website. The event will take place at Coburn Methodist Church located at 3618 Maple Avenue in Zanesville.
