Coll Materials Prospering

One recycling company is growing despite the struggling economy.

Coll Materials in Zanesville is working to make the world a cleaner place through plastic recycling. The company grinds down plastic materials into a flake or pellet form which is then reused by manufacturing companies to create new products.

"We’re going to adding approximately 25 more jobs in this facility which is a 50% growth for our Zanesville, Ohio facility which we’re really excited about," said Vice President of Sales and Marketing Renee Coll.

Coll says the business is doing so well that they are in the process of searching for a second location somewhere in the southwest to help expand business.

"We will be opening up that second facility by the first quarter of 2011, which will double our size, double our capacity, so it’s definitely a great move for us," she said.

In addition to the expansion, the company is also adding several new pieces of equipment to increase production.
