Commissioners Discuss Bids for Courthouse Window Replacement

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Commissioners recently met to discuss some much needed improvements to the Muskingum County Courthouse.

The Commissioners met on Monday to hear about three possible bids to replace windows on the 1st and 2nd floors of the courthouse.

Jeremy Davis, an Architect with AGP Architects, said the current windows are about 20 years old and aren’t as energy efficient as they once were.

“The estimate was about $480,000 and I believe our lowest bid was $374,000,” Davis explained.

Davis said this is a part of the Window Modernization Project taking place at the courthouse to help upgrade the appearance and performance of the building.

He also said the commissioners will decide on the winner of the bid within the week.

“So I have some work to do before then, hopefully by this Thursday.”

The estimated total cost to replace the windows on the 1st and 2nd floors is $480,000.
