ZANESVILLE, Ohio– Batman invaded Zanesville Saturday.

Many came dressed in their Batman shirts to show support for Kason Wilhelm. Wilhelm is a 4 year old boy in a fight for his life. Wilhelm is currently battling leukemia. Saturday morning, many brought their super powers to the golf outing at Green Valley Golf Course to fund raise for Kase. Saturday afternoon The Barn Neighbor Bar and Grill also hosted a fundraiser which featured music and a silent auction for the Wilhelm family.

“Batman is his hero,” Shelly Lynch said. “That’s why our theme is Batman strong. That’s why we all have these shirts on to support Kase. Once [Kase] saw Batman it was over. We all lost it. But it was a great day for him.”

“The goal of this event just to help the family offset medical, traveling, and everyday [expenses],” Kelly Beem said. “They have two other children that they have to think of too. It’s just to help the family in anyway they see fit.”

“It’s just great to see the community come together and try to help a family in need like the Wilhelm’s are,” Jim Watson said.
