Community Health Survey Participants Needed

ZANESVILLE-Ohio, The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department wants to hear from you.

The health department is looking for input from Muskingum County residents. To make your voice heard just simply fill out a survey that takes roughly 15 minutes to complete.

“We’re trying to get some information on the quality of life here in Muskingum County,” Epidemiologist Diana Zaato said. “The goal is to get some information on education, recreation, health care, and safely among other [things].”

The health department needs 700 surveys to have a complete sample of Muskingum County. As of Monday they only have 200. Every three to five years the health department assets what’s going in the community. That’s what the health department uses as a guide to address what necessary changes that needs to be made.

“We’re able to look at health information or health statistics to decide what are the biggest priorities. However, residents see it from a different perspective. So unless we have that residents perspective it’s almost impossible to get a full picture of what’s going on,” Zaato said.

To complete the survey, you must be a Muskingum County resident and must be 18 years of age or older. The survey is available online at zmchd.org. Just click on the 2016 Community Health Assessment. The deadline to complete the survey is August 30th.
