Zanesville South Business Holiday Parade

Zanesville, Ohio- One annual parade 20 years in the making has officially come and gone. Sunday the Maysville Pike in South Zanesville was blocked off to make way for the holiday parade.

Community leaders, law enforcement and countless members of the community brought their families out to kick start their holiday season.

“Well we like to come out and represent for our community because we don’t really get that much recognition because we are a small alternative school. Anything that we can do in the community, we love to do,” said Foxfire Cheer  Captain, Tori Gibson.

Leading into the holiday season, some say that what they enjoy most about the floats are the various things that are seen on them.

“Dangley things and the elves and Santa clause, that’s mainly all.” said Nevah Robinson.More than 90 units filled the streets, along with dance groups, cheer leading teams, church organizations and members of the local community. This parade is put on annually to unite the community and prepare for the holiday season.
