ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Donald Trump has officially been sworn in as the 45th President of the United States and Zanesville had mixed reactions.

Though President Trump won Muskingum County, many in the community weren’t happy about the outcome.

One local woman didn’t care for either candidates.

Christina Worthington said she watched all of the debates but didn’t prefer one candidate over the other. She said President Trump held himself differently Friday.

“He seems better now that he’s actually got in, he doesn’t seem as crazy as he was during the debates so hopefully now that it’s serious, maybe he’s taking it seriously,” said Worthington.

However, not everyone was disappointed. Marjorie Lemert said she voted for President Trump and watched the whole inauguration speech.

“I thought it was nice, I really enjoyed it, and I’m happy so I wish him all the luck in the world,” said Lemert.

Lemert said she thinks the community should be optimistic about the new President.

“I think he’s going to do good things, I really do. He’s going to try and we have to give him a chance,” said Lemert.

President Trump was sworn in on Friday, January 20th, 2017.
