Congressman Troy Balderson Wins

Congressman Troy Balderson (R) of Zanesville was reelected on Tuesday and is heading back to congress for two more years. He beat Alaina Shearer, a democrat from Delaware.
“It is the greatest honor of my life that the people of this incredible community – my neighbors, my friends, my peers – instilled their faith in me to represent them in Congress, and that they once again elected me to serve them,” said Balderson. “I wake up each and every day excited to serve my fellow Ohioans, whether I’m here in Ohio or back in Washington to pass critical legislation. The people of this community are always at the forefront of my mind.”
Discussing his plans for the next two years, Balderson added:
“I’m committed to continuing my work and reaching across the aisle to get results for Ohioans. My campaign was about just that – results, not more of the same empty rhetoric that already plagues Washington. I will continue to build on my record of results for Ohioans, starting with restoring our way of life and rebuilding the greatest American economy in half a century. That’s what the people of Ohio want, and that’s why they re-elected me.”
He first won his seat in 2018. The win was called early in the evening by the Associated Press.
