Connor Wayne Engstrom, age 32, of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at his home.
Born December 14, 1993, in Cambridge, he was a beloved twin son of Don and Pam Engstrom.
Connor was an exceptional athlete throughout his school years. A four‑year Cambridge High School tennis standout, he qualified for the state tournament all four years and holds the school record for most career wins. He excelled in both singles and doubles competition. In soccer, he ranked third in Cambridge High School history for career goals scored. He also enjoyed youth baseball and played in the Little League state tournament for three consecutive years as a 10‑, 11‑, and 12‑year‑old. Connor graduated from Cambridge High School with the Class of 2013.
After high school, Connor attended Ohio University Zanesville, enrolling in the nursing program. During his studies, he chose a new path and proudly followed his brother’s footsteps into the U.S. Army, where he served four years and was honorably discharged.
Connor loved nature and often found peace driving through Salt Fork State Park in his 2025 white Corvette. He was proud of purchasing his first home. His faith in Jesus was central to his life, and he prayed daily. He had a huge heart and deeply loved his family.
He adored his parents, calling his dad his hero and his mom “the best mom ever.” His twin brother, Cody—his partner in crime, his doubles partner at the state tennis tournament, —was a tremendous role model to him.
Connor leaves behind his parents, Don and Pam Engstrom; his twin brother, Cody Engstrom of Cambridge; brothers Zachary Engstrom (Annabelle Ryan) of Cambridge, Lee (Mellissa) Beaudry of Columbus, and Ian (Renee) Beaudry of Florence, Kentucky; and his nieces and nephews Milo, Cruz, Ezra, and Theo Engstrom; Alayna, Karsyn, and Leah Beaudry; Bryce O’Connor; and Lillian and Isaac Beaudry. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents William and Norma Engstrom of Uhrichsville and Paul and Freba Damron of Kentucky.
Visitation will be held at Bundy‑Law Funeral Home on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with services beginning at 1:00 PM. Pastor Nate Womack will officiate.
