Coshocton Boy Recovering after Hit and Run
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office said a Coshocton boy is home after being hit by a car last week.
Nine-year-old Steven Herbert II was struck by a vehicle on February 3.The driver involved in the crash fled the scene. Upon arrival, emergency crews transported Herbert to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
Herbert recieved surgery on his right leg and has since then been released from the hospital and is home resting.
An area man is being held in the Coshocton County Justice Center pending formal charges.
Herbert’s mother Jessica Herbert expressed gratitude to everyone who helped her son and to tipsters that gave vital information leading to an arrest in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
