Coshocton Co. Child Dies in Bike Accident
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 12-year-old boy.
Sheriff Timothy Rogers says the teen was riding his bicycle south near 32208 State Route 643 just before 12:30 Thursday afternoon when a car driven by 34-year-old Dean Fisher, of Sugarcreek, who was also southbound went to go around the bicycle.
That’s when the 12-year-old turned left into the side of Fisher’s vehicle.
The child was taken to Pomerene Hospital in Millersberg by Coshocton County EMS where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
