Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival Returns

COSHOCTON, OH – Hot air balloons have been filling the skies over Coshocton as the annual Hot Air Balloon Festival took place a the Coshocton County Fairgrounds.
Frontier Power has been a major sponsor of the event for the past 17 years, and their chief financial officer, Born Sianjina, shared what his personal experience in a hot air balloon was like.
“I think it’s one of the most exciting things and at first I was kind of skeptical about it but once we took off it was just amazing to see the view from there and to be in the open space. So it was a very very neat experience for me”
The festival featured hot air balloon rides, COSI Science Shows, fair food and rides. While the event itself and the memories made over the weekend are all worth while, Sianjina explained how this events impact can be felt in a much broader sense for the Coshocton community.
“It brings some things to do for the community. You know, it bring the community together. It attracts people from different communities. You know, I know there has been, in the past, there has been some people like traveling from Cleveland. You know some have traveled from Columbus, Dayton, and that brings awareness to what is in this community as well. So to me that is one of the most important things that you can do.”
