Coshocton Man Indicted In Child’s Death

A Coshocton County Grand Jury has indicted a man in connection with the death of a 2 year old girl.

According to Lt. Bill Kobel with the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office, 27 year old Aaron Holdsworth was officially charged Friday with murder and one count of child endangering.

Holdsworth is accused in the death of Reina Patterson, the daughter of his girlfriend, Anita Deeds.

Authorities say Holdsworth admitted shaking the young child several times on June 2nd.

Patterson died a day later at Akron Children’s Hospital.

According to a court affidavit, medical personnel told authorities that the young girl had been strangled and received blunt force trauma to the skull.

Holdsworth is being held on a $750,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on June 29th.
