Council Approves Downtown Enhancements

The first ordinance was to install decorative lighting and sidewalks from Shinnick Street from 6th Street to 4th Street, and down to Market Street to enhance the downtown area. The second allows the city to advertise for bids and enter into a contract to have the Hamline Water Tower repainted. The final one allows the authorization of an encroachment in a city alley.

In other council news, a traffic order was amended allowing citizens to park on the south side of Schultz Drive from Indiana Street.
