Country Legend to Play at Secrest Auditorium
A multi-platinum recording artist is coming to the Secrest Auditorium in February.
Country legend, Charlie Daniels, is scheduled to play at the Secrest Auditorium on February 27. Secrest has been the venue for many popular artists recently thanks to Dusty Guitar Promotions and co-owner Darren Tigner says that the artists have now been contacting them wanting to come to Zanesville.
"We’ve been able to bring some big names and the nice thing is when we first started, you know, no one was really, you know, kind of ‘where’s Zanesville?’ kind of deal. Now, folks are hearing about Secrest Auditorium and artists are wanting to come to Zanesville because we’re consistantly selling tickets and people are coming out to support the shows, so as long as people still buy tickets and come out you know these artists are wanting to come to Zanesville now, so it’s really exciting."
Secrest Auditorium seats about 17 hundred people, and Tigner says that if you want tickets, you should not hesitate to purchase them. With hits like the devil went down to georgia, drinking my baby goodbye, and long haired country boy, it’s expected to be a very popular show.
"You know, Charlie’s a country legend, we’re pretty fortunate, and again our shows have been really well attended so we’re expecting near capacity crowd for this show again and so if folks want tickets, I would definitely encourage them to jump online, lots of different ways to get tickets next Friday."
Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. On December 5th. You can purchase your ticket at the Secrest box office, on ETIX.com or by calling 740-454-6851.
