Country Music Hall of Fame Biannual Dance

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Country Western Music Association gets the community together twice a year to enjoy good food, good company, and a lot of dancing.
This biannual dance is a way for the association to bring together country music lovers old and young alike. President of the OCWMA Rodney Brown said they just really want to have a good time.
“Keep the musicians in this area in touch with each other and try to get us all together once or twice a year,” Brown said.
The dance will include half square dancing and half round dancing. The funds raised at the event will go to help support local charities such as Lace up for Kids and Christ’s Table. Member of the association Robert Pletcher said it’s an opportunity for musicians who don’t get to play as much to come out and jam all night.
“It’s just mostly a promote friendship, fellowship and have a good time and raise a little money,” Pletcher said.
The event is on Saturday, May 18th at 11-18 W Main Street from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $3 a person at the door.
