County Announces Depository

Muskingum County will enter into a four-year contract with a local bank for its depository needs.

Today the county commissioners announced Community Bank as the main depository for the next four years.

“We took this recommendation based upon the information provide to us by the County Treasurer Phillip Murphy,” said Muskingum County Commissioner Jerry Lavy. “His recommendation to the board was to go to Community Bank for the depository.”

Lavy says the bank will hold the county’s checking account and will be their primary bank.

He says Century National and Huntington are designated as their alternates.
