County Commissioner’s Meet To Discuss Future Muskingum County Center For Seniors

The new Muskingum County Senior Center will be located at the old Zanesville City School Administration Building downtown across from Secrest Auditorium.

County commissioner’s met on Monday to conduct an interview with the potential construction contractor manager for the renovation project.

The commissioners received a total of 4 applications from different companies for the project, but selected only one to conduct an interview with.

Brian Addis, Head architect of the project said that if the interview goes well on Monday then the project could be started as early as the next day.

Addis also said that this would be a great place for senior citizens of Muskingum County.

“What it’s going to bring to the seniors of Muskingum County is a place of socialization, a place to congregate, come together, and socialize with one another,” said Addis.

The employees of the county have conducted some of the renovations and demolition, but the construction contractor will do all the major renovations once one is selected.
