ZANESVILLE, OH – A new business opened its doors to the public with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Couple of Crafty Creations opened their new store front at 257 Market St. in Zanesville Friday.

Angela Thacker, the Owner, says she and her husband spent about 2 months looking for the perfect place to showcase locally made crafts.

“We decided to, one day we were going to open a store, so we came downtown, we looked for a shop, and we were like ‘This could be the one.’” Thacker said. “We contacted the realtor and within the 8 week time frame, here we are. We sell a variety of different products, as you’ll see, we do a lot of handmade, local, artisan products.”

Couple of Crafty Creations is the one stop for locally made candles, door signs, tumblers, and so much more.

Thacker says she hopes those who enter her store, leave with a greater respect for the artists that created the works that are for sale.

“Appreciation for the craftsmen’s ship that goes into all these things and the time that people spend.” Thacker said. “Just knowing that someone wants to bring that sort of thing to the heart of Zanesville.”

Couple of Crafty Creations will be open until 9PM tonight and tomorrow from 10 AM until 7PM.
