Crash Claims the Life of Perry County Man

Junction City – The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle fatal accident that occurred on Wednesday.
The crash occurred on Township Road 122 approximately one mile south of State Route 37 in Jackson Township. The crash was reported at 7:05 AM but is believed to have occurred earlier in the morning.
Authorities said Theodore Hiles III, 48, of New Lexington, OH, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Tracker northeast on Township Road 122, drove off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. Hiles was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, Perry County Coroner’s Office, Junction City Fire and EMS, Somerset Reading Township Fire Department, Genesis Hospital EMS and Jackson Township Road Department.
