Crooksville FD Saves Dogs From Fire

The Crooksville Fire Department was called to an early morning fire. It happened around 1:30 Thursday at 420 North Buckeye Road in Crooksville. When fire fighters arrived the owner was still in the home trying to rescue five dogs. Once she was removed 4 of the five animals were rescued. One died in the blaze. Investigators say the home suffered mostly smoke damage. The home owner – who was not identified – suffered smoke inhalation but refused treatment. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
