Cumberland Man Arrested for Crimes Against Children

The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office says a 76-year-old man is in custody after a warrant was served in Cumberland.

Captain Jeremy Wilkinson says deputies along the Crimes Against Children Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation executed the warrant at a home on East Main Street.

Wilkinson says they coordinated the event with the Haven of Hope so the potential victims felt safe to come forward.

Wilkinson says they also worked closely with Noble County Children’s Services to ensure that the continued exploitation of Human Trafficking came to an end.

The suspect, who was not identified, faces felony charges in the case.
