Cumberland man charged for sex crimes with minors

CUMBERLAND, Ohio- The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office released the name of the 76-year-old man arrested Wednesday for sex crimes involving minors.

Lt. Jason Mackie with the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office said that Ashley Lynn Hall is facing felony charges involving unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and compelling prostitution. Lt. Mackie said these crimes were alleged to have happened at Hall’s residence in the 600 block of East Main Street in Cumberland.

While being interviewed by Lt. Mackie, Hall admitted to having children perform sexual acts in his presence on several occasions and admitted to rewarding the children with transportation, cigarettes, and U.S. currency.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Crimes Against Children’s Unit and the Ohio State Highway Patrol all assisted in the execution of the search warrant that resulted in his arrest on Wednesday.
