DRESDEN, OHIO-Â A popular local pizza shop has recently been taken over under new ownership.
D-Town pizza of Dresden has been around for the few past years. Â Recently, the pizza shop has been taken under new ownership with a new look and some new tasty items.
Kennedy’s D-Town Pizza serves pizza, subs, calzones, salads and other sweet treats that are made from scratch with all fresh ingredients.
Jocele Kennedy, D-Town Pizza Owner/Operator, said that they make regular pizzas and speciality pizzas that are unique compared to other pizza chain restaurants.
“It’s always been D-Town Pizza,” said Kennedy. Â “We just added Kennedy on the name so that way people understand it’s under new ownership.”
Kennedy said that the pizza is always made from scratch. Â “We still make it from scratch, hand toss it and cook it in an old stone oven.”
She also said that she was inspired to take over D-Town Pizza because of her past experience working in the food industry and the opportunity that was presented before her.
“I’ve always kind of liked pizza and I love cooking, it was kind of something that came naturally to me and when I found out that this was available.”
D-Town pizza is open Monday-Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
