Dale Richard Green (July 27, 1937 – November 30, 2015)

Dale Green, 78 of Zanesville went to meet the Lord surrounded by his family at his home on Green Valley Farm on Monday November 30, 2015. He was born in Adams Township to the late Raymond L. and Gertrude Lapp Green, he co-founded Merriam & Green Roofing that later became Marion & Green Roofing. In 1975 he founded Green Drywall. He attended Westwood Baptist Church. Dale was a member of the Farm Bureau, he enjoyed racing Moto-Cross for many years with his sons, he especially loved, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he loved farming with his John Deere Tractors with his dog Laddie at his side.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, LaJoy Burwell Green, his sons; Richard (Debbie) Green and Robert (Tamara) Green all of Zanesville, his daughters; Rebecca (Michael) Heagen of Zanesville and Renee (Chris) Pieper of Nashport. His brothers; Charles Green, Floyd (Marlene) Green, John (Mary) Green, Tom Green, Jim Green, and Tony (Wanda) Green, his sister Kathleen (Gary) Hootman. His grandchildren; Jason (Lindsay) Green, Jeni (Reggie) Huber, Joe (Meghan) Green, Zach (Shelly) Wallace, Whitney (Nate) Stewart, Courtney (Brian) Keys, Caleb (Lydia) Pieper, Cameron (Hannah) Pieper, Caitlyn Pieper, Christian Pieper, Cadan Pieper, Elizabeth (Scott) King, Elaine (Lee) Wilcox, Emily ( Paul) Moor, Erin ( Ted) Seeley, Evan Green, Eli Green, Jared ( Jessica) Heagen, Jandi Heagen, Jenna (Matthew) Reed, Great-grandchildren; Tessa & Emerson Green, Madelyn Huber,Wesley Wallace, Brock Stewart, Carston Pieper, Evelyn, Silas, Iva, Ezra, & Iris Heagen, Stuart, Gavin, Elliott & Emilia King & Fynn Wilcox.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son; Rocky Green, three brothers; Homer, Harold, & Gerald Green, a sister; Janice Green and a great-granddaughter; Lola Green.
Calling Hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM ans one hour prior to services at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 West Military Road Zanesville, Ohio 43701 on Thursday December 3, 2015. Funeral Services will be held of Friday December 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM in The Snouffer Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Steve Cheney officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Baptist Cemetery.
