Dancing Divas announce 2018 celebrities

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Dancing with the Divas made their celebrity announcements for the 8th season of the event.

The competition show features the talent of a diva who is partnered with a local celebrity. This year those celebrities are Gavin Mawhorr, Don Mason, Dana Matz, Darian Ross, Eric Winland, Matt Frampton and Don Dal Ponte.

Dal Ponte said he was asked by the vice president of the organization, LeAnn Bader-Mock.

“I’ve been to several of their shows and their fundraisers before, and I found they do really great events that look like a lot of fun. [So] in a weak moment she persuaded me to go ahead participate, and it’s a good way to raise funds for a lot of good causes in our community,” said Dal Ponte.

The event is about more than just a night of dancing, each celebrity has the opportunity to pick a charity of their choice to donate to.

“We’re very excited because this event raises money for different charities and to this point our organization has helped raise over $200,000 in the last 8 years for many charities. There’s over 45 charities that we have raised money for,” said Trudy Cultice the artistic director for the Dancing Divas.

The event will take place on July 28th. Tickets go on sale May 1st and will be available on their website www.thedancingdivas.com.
