Dancing Diva’s Meet and Greet

It’s that time of year again where the Dancing Diva’s prepare to hit the stage.

The meet and greet for Dancing with the Diva’s was held at Zak’s Restaurant downtown Saturday night. This event was for all of the 7 couples to meet, and decide their dance styles.

"Tonight we meet our celebrities and announce them to the public. People will find out who our celebrities are. Some of them are just meeting for the first time so it’s very exciting all of the celebrities, this is their first time that they’ve been together as a group. It’s a nice ice-breaker so once we start rehearsal things runs a little smoother because, they’ve all meet each other," said Trudy Cultice, Artistic Director for the Dancing Diva’s.

Cultice said not only is it a fun and exciting event for the members of the community but, it is also a fundraiser. They are able to raise money for scholarships and do out-reach programs for senior centers and other Muskingum County charities.

Each one of the celebrities will choose a charity and through dancing and different things that they do between now and July they will raise money for a charity. In the past we’ve raised money for the MRC, we’ve raised money for the Health Department so we’ve been able to raise over $120,000 through this project. But, it also helps our organization as well," said Cultice.

This year our very own Ross Caruso will be one of the celebrity dancers. Meteorologist Phil Sakal will be the Master of Ceremonies.

The event will be held July 23, 2016 at EagleSticks Golf Club.

WHIZ Weekend Meterologist- Ross Caruso (Animal Shelter Society)

Sr. Data Architect for the State of Ohio and ZCT Officer/Actor- Matt Swingle (Zanesville Community Theatre)

Attorney and CPA- Brad Wolfe (For the Benefit of Chris Joseph)

Senior Associate Director of Student Financial Services, Muskingum University- Amy Goodin (Ronald McDonald House)

Professional Partner with the Law Offices of Gottlieb, Johnson, Bean & Dal Ponte PLL- Don Wietmarschen (Zanesville Museum of Art)
