Dancing with the Divas Returns for Season 12
ZANESVILLE, OH – Dancing with the Divas returns for season twelve this Saturday at Eagle Sticks Golf Club.
Starting at 8 p.m., 8 dance teams, featuring local celebrities, will take the stage to compete in a “Dances with the Stars” style competition. The teams are also competing to see who raises the most money for the charity they represent.
“Well I think the thing that we feel is the most important is that we are doing something that no one else in the community does. Our organization. Yes, this raises money for our, what our needs. But we also are doing something by raising money for all, or many charities over the last 12 years. I think we’re at $485,000 that we, as an organization have raised. And that’s, that’s our why for doing this,” said Trudy Cultice, a member of The Dancing Divas and a competitor this Saturday.
One of the non-profit organizations that benefits from the fund raiser is the organizer of the event, the Dancing Divas. An organization that members like Debi Grubb are passionate about.
“It contributes to our mission of empowering people of all ages to dance and I mentioned that we do raise funds for our private charity which is a scholarship fund. So over the last ten years we have put together approximately $25,000 in scholarships for local youth to participate in dance education,” Grubb said.
