Daniel Nolan

Daniel “Danny” Lee Nolan, 69, of Zanesville passed Thursday, October 10, 2024, at his home.
He was born on Saturday, April 30, 1955, in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late William “Red” L. Nolan and Martha Kay Johnson Nolan.
Danny was a member of Sonora United Methodist. He retired from the New Bakery Company of Ohio. Danny played Softball locally for Stewart-Glapat, winning the 1982 Men’s Eastern Division “B” USSSA Championship and he was most proud to be named to the All-Tournament Team and to receive a championship ring. He was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Guardians. Danny loved to spend time with family, especially his grandchildren, they were his world. His favorite hobbies were crossword puzzles and playing Keno.
He is survived by his wife, whom he married April 27, 1974, Linda E. Mathes Nolan; two children, Ryan (Melanie) Nolan and Lauren Coulson Reed; four grandchildren, Sophie J. Quinn, Jonas L. Nolan, Noah R. Nolan and Jewel A. Overman; two siblings, Karen (Ron) Rice and Kathryn (Mark) Kohler; and several nieces and nephews; Danielle, Kade, Alexandria, Elizabeth, Samantha, Jessica and Andrew.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Danny’s wishes a cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
