Danielle Peck to Perform At River View High School

River View High School will host a country music star next weekend.

On November 8, the River View boys basketball team is hosting a benefit concert featuring Danielle Peck who graduated from River View in 1997. She has not returned to the stage at River View since then, and boys basketball coach Jason Trout is excited to be having her back at the school.

"She’s had top 25 hits on the U.S. country charts, been on the billboard charts," said Trout. "I mean she’s made it, and we have never had her back at River View High School."

The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Peck performing at 8:15. There will only be 1,000 tickets sold for the event, and Trout believes that will provide a great atmosphere for everyone who attends.

"It’s going to be an intimate setting," said Trout. "For her that was the stage where she sang in show choir. That was the stage where she participated in talent shows, that was the stage where she was part of the menstra that we do every winter, so for her it’s really the stage and the auditorium where it all kind of started for her."
