David Careins

David Allen Careins, 60 of Zanesville, died, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born Wednesday, July 31, 1963, in Zanesville, the son of Zail William Careins, Sr. and Opal (Cornell) Careins-Heils.

Dave was previously employed by United Technologies for many years. Following their closure he could be found at Kelso’s Garage working on automobiles. Dave enjoyed working on cars and being with his friends.

Dave is survived by one daughter: Kyra (Lonnie) McMillen of Stockport; four grandchildren, Logan, Avery, Addison and Bentlee McMillen; one sister, Cheryl (David) Cosgrave of Zanesville; many nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special nephew, Bucky Pletcher.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeffrey Careins and Zail Careins, Jr. and one sister, Debra Russell.
