David R. Murrey

David Murrey, 61 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 2, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Dave was born in Zanesville on June 18, 1960.  He is the son of the late Robert and Norma (Bales) Murrey.  He retired from FST Trucking in Columbus and he also worked as a diesel mechanic.

Dave is survived by his wife, Cherie (Mohler) Murrey, whom he married June 10, 1986; his son, Ryan (Heather) Murrey of Zanesville; his granddaughters, Braelynn, Kaelyn, Kaci, and Kira; his grandson, Chance; and his sister, Lisa Burkett

In addition to his parents, Dave is preceded in death by his step-son, Shane Mohler and his sister Judy Johnson.

Visitations will be held from 2 to 4 pm, on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls.
