David Stiers

David L. Stiers, 76 of Zanesville, died, Saturday, July 6, 2024, at his home following a sudden illness. He was born Thursday, May 27, 1948, in Zanesville, the son of Amos Stiers and Dorothy (Mikus) Stiers. He married Linda S. (Pride) Stiers on Saturday, April 14, 1973.
David served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea. He was a machinist with Diamond Power in Lancaster, retiring following many years of service. David was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds, was an avid card player, and enjoyed a Black Velvet on occasion. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. David was a member of DAV, American Legion Post 29, and Life Member of VFW Post 1058. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who greatly enjoyed spending time with them.
David is survived by two sons, David A. Stiers and Jason R. Stiers; one grandson, Gregory (Amber) Stiers; two great grandchildren, Winston Stiers & Nova Jean Stiers; one sister, Patricia (Fred) Snider of Pleasantville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Stiers who died February 4, 2023.
