Dayle Browning

Dayle A. Browning, 91, of Florida, formerly of Zanesville, passed away at 8:00 p.m. Sunday April 23, 2023 at Primrose Retirement Community. He was born on July 23, 1931 in Crooksville, a son of the late Cecil and Rose (Boyce) Browning. He is survived by his wife of 73 years Evelyn M. Young Browning. Three children Steve (Lisa) Browning of Zanesville, Cheryl Benincasa of Florida, and Alan Browning of Zanesville. Grandchildren Terry Lynne (Ed) Villmaier of Texas, Angie (Scott) Gundenfinger of Zanesville, Scott (Dyna) Boggs of Florida, Nikki (Brad) Gibson of Zanesville, Anne Benincasa of Texas, Jennifer (Adam) Mallett of Cumberland, Mathew (Inzie) Browning of Zanesville, Christa Browning of Zanesville, Maija Benincasa of California, Seve (Maria) Benincasa of Virginia. 20 great-grandchildren. Three sisters Louanna Hittle, Jane Ellis, and Marilyn Sarbaugh all of Zanesville, special sister-in-law Florence Owens of Florida, special friend Rose Minutello of Florida, special friend Brenda and Jay Dailey of Florida, special friend Cheryl Peroulakis, special neighbors Phillip and Patricia Blessinger of Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son Gary Browning, seven brothers Kenneth Browning, Frank Browning, Lawrence Browning, Gene Browning, Gerald Browning, Max Browning, and Doug Browning and two sisters Hope Neal and Mary Evelyn, a special friend Lenny Minutello.
Dayle was the co-founder, owner, past president of City Electric Services in South Zanesville from 1972-1996. He was a member of Lodge of Amity No. 5, 32 Degree Mason, Scottish Rite, Sertoma awards for distinguished services and past president, past president of Cedar Point Village 8 (4 years), member of Jensen Beach Country Club, developer of Roadale Drive subdivision, member of Rolling Plains Methodist Church, associate member of First United Methodist Church in Jensen Beach, Florida, enjoyed playing golf, square dancing, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with family. He was also a team captain of the 1949 Roseville Ramblers MVL Football champions.
Calling hours will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday April 28, 2023 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage and also from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 29, 2023 with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Alice officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Following the graveside service, a reception will follow at Primrose Retirement Community 4212 Northpointe Drive Zanesville, Ohio.
