Deadline for Fieldhouse Foundation is March 18th

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local business is looking to award 6 scholarships this spring.

The Fieldhouse Foundation in collaboration with WHIZ Media Group presents the 10th annual Courage Award Scholarship. It’s also the 18th year for the Gannett Fieldhouse Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award Scholarship.

“We have moved up the deadline for all 6 scholarships totaling about $2,500 to March 18 of this year. We really want to make a concentraded effort to get to the varies schools where all the award recipients are. Get them their plaques. Get them their scholarships checks and make it a little more of an opportunity for them to be showcased,” said Fieldhouse Fitness Centers Ceo Mick Amicone.

The scholarship criteria consists of 25% each of academics, athletic participation, community service and church service.

“We need to give back to those incredible students that have worked so hard. That are going to go on to the next level that needs financial assistants. This is not a financial needs based scholarship it’s based on all the qualifying factors,” said Amicone.

Teachers, administrator and coaches should send nominations to the fieldhouse foundation or go to the muskingum county community foundation’s website.
