Deadline Wednesday For County Commissioner Seat
If you are interested in becoming the next Muskingum County Commissioner you have one day left to make your intentions known. Republican Party Chairman Pat Hennessey says Wednesday is the last day to turn in a letter of interest to his office. Here is the list of area residents who are expressing interest…John Bills, Curt Luburgh, Jim Boyd, Ronald Fitz, Steve Strauss, Ronald Pitts, Ernie Bruns, Kevin Upton, Todd Sands, Darrel Smith, Joe Goldsmith, Dave Lewellen, Eddie Brock and Larry Good. Hennessey says the final decision will be made on August 24th after the applicants speak before the Republican Central Committee. That is set for 6pm at Bryan Place in Downtown Zanesville. The County Commissioner seat opened up when former Commissioner Brian Hill accepted an appointment to become an Ohio State Representative in the 94th district.
