Deborah A. (Batross) Riffle

Deborah A. (Batross) Riffle, age 67 of Zanesville, died 3:31 AM, Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville.

She was born Thursday, April 1, 1954, in Zanesville, the daughter of late Joseph Batross and Sally (Meissner) Batross of Zanesville. She was married on Saturday, May 9, 1992, to Robert Riffle who survives.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Zanesville Moose Lodge and enjoyed gambling at the casino and on her computer.  She worked as a school bus driver for Maysville School District and was the bar manager at the Zanesville Moose.  Deborah loved her dog “Baby” and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived two daughters, Dana Shubert and Danielle (Heath) White both of Zanesville, six grandchildren, Kernisity (Christian), Roger (Brittany), Austin, Allison, Savannah and Andrew;  six great grandchildren; Landon, Audrina, Delilah, Ryker, Harley and Gwenevere; four brothers;  Gregory (Suzann) Batross, Tyler Batross both of Zanesville, Daryl (Rachal) Batross of  Las Vegas, NV and Joseph Batross, III of  Columbus; two sisters: Deana (Larry) Batross-Neff of Frazeysburg, and Denise (Doug) Liggett of Melrose, FL.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Connie Batross.

Friends may call from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville.  A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home,  935 Forest Avenue with Fr. Martin Ralko  officiating. Burial will conclude in the Mount Olive Cemetery, Zanesville.
