Deborah “Deb” Norton

Deborah “Deb” Ann Norton, 60 of Zanesville, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on September 13, 2024, at the Genesis Morrison House.
She was born on November 15, 1963, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Larry Reed and Sherry (Ungemach) Reed. Deb was a graduate of Philo High School in 1982. After graduating, she attended Ohio University of Zanesville to earn her master’s degree in business finance. Deb was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Roseville for many years. She had a love like no other, fostering many children over a 17-year period. Over the last 10 years, she has owned and operated Twin Peaks Towing with her husband and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing piano, cooking meals that could feed an army, boating, camping, and riding horses. She loved to watch her son Austin during his Truck Pulls, taking care of her animals, and doing her arts and crafts. Above all, Deb loved spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren “to the moon and back”.
Deb will always be remembered as a very strong woman.
Debra is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, David Norton; 3 children: Austin (Katlyn) Norton, Dakota (Genna) Norton, Danielle (Dennis) Mallernee; 7 grandchildren: Daisy, Dixie, Dakota, Diesel, Denver, Dawson, Delilah; 1 grandchild on the way; 2 brothers: David (Crystal) Reed and Gary Reed; aunt, Debbie Ungemach; several extended aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; 8 special dogs; and many other animals.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her uncle, Lee Ungemach; and sister-in-law, Amy Reed.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday September 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 8:00 PM with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Per Debra’s wishes, a dignified cremation will take place following services.
