Dee E. Williams, a.k.a. Daisy Elizabeth Power, Lorenz, Howard, Williams, 93, of Heath, Ohio passed away on January 16, 2014. Dee was born August 1, 1920 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Lee Orville and Lillian Maybell Power. She was employed in Zanesville at Shellmar, Timkens, secretary to Bill Weber & Judge Baker, local taverns, Hoover Co. , Zanesville City Schools as secretary for the business manager of Zanesville Board of Education for 27 years; was employed in Chicago at Howard House Athletic Club and in New York at Jensen Jewelers and a grocery business in Jacksonville, Fl. She was an avid bowler, bowling in 3 leagues per week for 60 years. Dee was inducted into the ZWBA Hall of fame in 2005. She loved spending time with her grandson, Shawn, word searches and crocheting (making many afghans and crib throws). Dee also enjoyed traveling and visiting places such as Canada, Nova Scotia, Jamaica, Venezuela, Nassau, Mexico (twice), Alaska and Niagara Falls. “Grandma Dee†will be missed by many.
Dee is survived by a daughter, Laura E. Donnelly of Millersport, Ohio; sisters Katherine J. Lanning, Barbara J. Hanna, sister-in-law Doris (Mrs. Paul) Power; grandsons, Shawn (Janet) Scott , John Donnelly; great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Jack Scott, Jasamine, Raygen, Ryder Donnelly; nieces and nephews Deborah Waters, Linda and Bob Miller, Scott Power; great nieces and nephews Crystal Power, Darren (Stacy) Waters, Danielle (Tom) Baker. Exceptional friends, Mellvina, Kathy George, Pat Keel, Celia, Jane, Joanne, Linda, Pat Hoyle, Janet Ann Carter, Ann Melick and Lee Glenn.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by J.G.T., the love of her life; her sisters, Gladys M. (John) Ziegler, Carole V. (Edward) Daspin; brothers, Richard M. (Gladys M.) Power, Orville Lee( Helen Brill) Power, Jesse Dana ( Caroline B.)Power, Paul Power and Lee L. Power; brother-in-laws, Damon Lanning and Lloyd Hanna.
