Delbert Ronald “Ron” Fehrman, 80, of Byesville, passed away Tuesday (January 7, 2025) at his home.

He was born January 15, 1944 in Byesville, son of the late Delbert Fehrman and Zerelda (Poland) Fehrman.

He was a 1961 graduate of Byesville High School, where he was very active in the athletic program. His career began as a toolmaker at Westinghouse and he later moved to Canton. In 1977, he returned to Byesville and established Fehrman Tool & Die with his brother, Ralph, until his retirement in 2016.

Ron was a thirty-year member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Byesville and served faithfully as a deacon for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy (Perkins) Fehrman, who passed away December 19, 2021. They were married November 4, 1962. Also deceased are his siblings, Ralph, Russell, Roy, Bob, Raymond, Richard, Ruth Callihan, Ann Liddle, and Esther Canaday; and his son-in-law, Dave Thompson.

Ron is survived by his son, Eric (& Kelly) Fehrman of Byesville; his daughter, Devanie Thompson of Princeton TX; five grandchildren, Taisha (& Lucas) Kaspar, Traci (& Kevin) Duta, Jacob (& Becca) Fehrman, Sarah Green, and Noah Fehrman; and five great-grandchildren, Isaiah Kaspar, Laina Kaspar, Mikah Kaspar, Jonathan Kaspar, Rylin Whaley, Everly Fehrman, and soon to arrive, Daisy Duta.

No calling hours will be observed.

A memorial service will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday (FEBRUARY 8, 2025) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Rost officiating. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, is handling arrangements.
