Dempsey named Great Lakes Region Rookie of the Year

Muskingum freshman guard and former Tri-Valley Dawg Marcus Dempsey was named this year’s D3hoops.com Great Lakes Region Rookie of the Year.

Dempsey averaged 16.4 points per game with the Muskies this season, and was named the OAC freshman of the year as well as an All-OAC honorable mention selection.

Dempsey is the first Muskingum basketball player to win the award since since it began in 2006.
