Denna Allberry Carrel (May 17, 1925 – May 7, 2012)

Denna Allberry Carrel, 86, of Norwich passed away on Monday May 7, 2012 at The Beckett House in New Concord.
Denna was born on May 17, 1925 in Zanesville to the late James William Henry and Tula Faye Allbery Carrel. Denna was a retired Tester and Electrician at McGraw Edison. He proudly served our Country and defended our Freedom by serving in the Sea Bee unit of The US Navy during WWII.
He is survived by six daughters; Patricia Ann McNeal of Huntsville, Alabama, Sandra Sue (Noble) Dobbins of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, Michele Marie (Brion) Hubbard of Zanesville, Debra (Steve) Tyo of Zanesville, Cindy (Dick Kirkbride) McPeck of Zanesville, and Annette (Louie) Edwards of Zanesville, two sisters, Betty Fay Willey of Zanesville and Mabel Marie Dale, a brother Ralph William (Mary) Carrel. 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Winifred Morgan Carrel, his second wife Donna Ann Sarchet Carrel, two sons Steven Morgan and Richard Duane Carrel, a sister Laura Carrel, and a great-great grandchild.
Calling hours will be from 6-8pm on Wednesday May 9 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday with Pastor Sue Ellen Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Full Military honors provided by George Selsam VFW Post 1058.
