Dick Sorg Struck And Killed By Lightning

A well-known figure in the Zanesville community was struck and killed by lightning.

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said Dick Sorg passed away Tuesday night.  Lutz said that Sorg was at his home on Mount Perry Road when he was electrocuted.

Sorg recently retired from the Muskingum Soil and Water Conservation District after nearly 40 years.  Lutz said that Sorg’s body was discovered by his neighbor.
