Dixon / Washington Sentenced In Burned Body Case
The man convicted last month in the death of a woman found burned along the side of a Muskingum County road learned his fate Monday.
34-year-old Lafonse Dixon of Canton stood before Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill and received life in prison without parole.
In the sentencing phase of the trial the jury recommended against the death penalty.
Judge Cottrill told Dixon, “You will never again have control of your life because you will spend the rest of your life in prison.”
Dixon, along with two other defendants brought Celeste Fronsman to Muskingum County where she was set on fire and abandoned.
One of the other defendants, Monica Washington was sentenced by Judge Cottrill to life in prison with parole possible after 25 years.
