Dog of the Week

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- Charlie has been named this week’s Muskingum County Dog Warden Pet of the Week.
Charlie was first adopted from the dog warden about a year ago. At the end of March, he was returned as an owner release. He’s estimated to be about 6-years-old and has medium energy.
“He is neutered, fully vaccinated and 100 percent ready to be adopted. He rides well in the car, in and out. Very friendly with children. He is dog selective and does not do well with cats,” Dog Warden Volunteer Doug McQuaid said.
He isn’t able to wear a normal collar due to issues in his larynx. McQuaid said the shelter will make sure you have the proper harness for him.
“He has what they call a restricted area in his larynx, so anything pushing against that at any time, it almost makes it sound like he’s choking, but he’s not,” McQuaid said.
If you’re interested in meeting Charlie and have another dog, a meet and greet is required. Make an appointment by calling the dog warden and adoption center. (740)-453-0273
