ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center is adopting out their ‘Number One Dog of the Year’.

Snickers will be awarded as ‘Number One Dog of the Year’ on Saturday December 2, 2017 and adopted out for a reduced price to one lucky family. Snickers is a German Shepard Labrador mix who is about six to seven months old.

“He’s definitely full of energy and love,” Muskingum County Dog Warden Bryan Catlin said. “He gets along with everybody. We haven’t noticed any issues with any other dogs but, we always ask that if you have dogs of your own bring them out here and always do a meet and greet.”

Catlin is inviting people to come to the Adoption Center and meet Snickers personally. Following the introduction each interested persons name will be added to a drawing to select who will become Snickers’ new family.

“Just come out probably no later than Friday December 1, 2017 because, we are doing the drawing on December 2, 2017 which is a Saturday,” Catlin said. “So they have to be present when we do the drawing. His adoption fee is $95.00 because, the tag is paid for so it’s a little cheaper than a regular adoption.”

According to Catlin Muskingum County Auditor’s office paid for Snickers’ dog tag and a few other incentives. For more information call the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center at (740) 453-0273.
