‘Doggie Day’: Bruiser

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- It’s Tuesday which means we have another four-legged friend looking for a new home.
Meet Bruiser. He’s a two-year-old mix that has been at the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center since June. Bruiser has had his surgeries and is up to date on all of his shots. Deputy Dog Warden Brittany Calihan says alll he needs now is a place to call home.
“He is very playful. He’s got a lot of energy. But he just likes to have fun. And he likes to play. He’s easy to walk…He would probably do best somewhere where he can run. Have a way to kill that energy.”
Bruiser seems to do well with kids and other dogs. The Adoption Center does encourage anyone interested in Bruiser to come down and visit with the family. Bruiser’s adoption fees are $105. The Adoption Center is reminding everyone about a drawing to take home last week’s featured dog.
“Snickers is going to receive the first dog tag of the year. And that is Saturday,” said Calihan. “We’re going to have extended hours and I think if you are wanting to meet Snickers be here before two and the drawing will be about 2:30.”
Families interested in Snickers will place their name in a drawing. The winning family will be able to adopt him for a discounted cost.
